Hydro-speed
in Canyons of National Park

The
Hydro speed is a special small raft made from polyurethane. designed for
descending rapids. It is used in a semi-reclining, semi swimming position. A
neoprene suit protects the user from the cold and the bumps. The excitement of
the ride increases with the swiftness of the river. Under professional guidance,
this extremely enjoyable excursion is suitable for all ages.
Programme
The group descends the rapids of the Sava river from the dam in
Soteska (power station) to the bridge under Bohinjska Bela (approximately 4 km).
Transport to the departure point and return are provided by the organizers of
the programme.
Dates
June to September, the programme depending on the state of the
river.
Canyoning is offered as an alternative to Hydro-speed. When the Sava is high
enough to descend it by Hydro-speed there is usually too much water in the
Mostnica for safe swimming, and when the level of the Sava drops too low, the
conditions for canyoning in the Mostnica are usually very favourable.
Equipment
required
Hydro-speed, neoprene wet suit, helmet, flippers, life jacket
(all included in the price of the excursion).
