Kayaking is one of the best ways of experiencing a river. In
the Bohinj region there are no extremely difficult rapids, but there is the lake
and the upper part of the Sava Bohinjka, both of which are suitable for the
first strokes of a new adventure. More demanding descents are easily accessible
by the car (the lower part of the Sava Bohinjka, the Radovna, the Soca).
Courses, organized descents, or just hiring first-rate equipment. The choice is
yours!
Kayak school
The kayak school for kayaking on rapid waters comprises a wide range of choices,
from individual lessons to well-long courses, both for beginners and those with
more experience. The school begins on the calm surface of the lake, and
continues on the Savica and the Sava Bohinjka. The week-long course comprises 15
lessons. Use of equipment and transportation are included in the price.
Guided kayak trips
Trip led by professionals down Alpine rivers: the Sava Bohinjka, Radovna,
Bistrica (Vrata), and the Sava Dolinka.
Hiring equipment
Kayaks and all other equipment are available from the organizers
of the program.
